Friday morning came as a enjoyable one for most Nashville residents: The Predators add another exciting win to the season the night before. It’s the end of the work week. Celebrate, right?
Not entirely for Jason Fitz.
Fitz was not happy whatsoever with Knicks All-Star point guard Derrick Rose in what was one of the most heated “Fitz Unfiltered” segments that ESPN 102.5 The Game has aired to date.
Rose, who has received a lot of media attention in the past surrounding his injuries, was recently back in the headlines for leaving the Knicks without notifying the organization before they took on the Pelicans on Monday, January 9th. He later stated that he had traveled home to Chicago for a family issue.
Regardless, Fitz had no sympathy for Rose at all:
“Derrick Rose is a complete joke,” Fitz stated. “Who can just walk away from their job and not do anything?”
Fitz went on to express his distaste for how professional athletic organizations cater to their athletes and, essentially, allow situations like Rose’s happen:
“This is asinine, and this everything that is wrong with pro sports. When we allow athletes to do this, it embarrasses the sport that they play and it embarrasses the team that they play for.”
"Derrick Rose is a JOKE." #FitzUnfiltered this morning was intense. Jason Fitz weighs in on NBA star Derrick Rose being absent from the Knicks. Check it out! Brought to you by www.HelloFilters.com.
