Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour received North Carolina’s highest honor from Gov. Roy Cooper after Sunday’s 4-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, given to those who’ve made significant contributions to the state.
