Tatis, ‘an absolute presence,’ back with Padres

San Diego veteran right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr., who hadn’t played since June 21 due to a stress reaction in his right thighbone, was activated off the 60-day injured list on Monday and hit second in the Padres’ 3-0 win over the Detroit Tigers.
