Notre Dame safety Xavier Watts won the Bronko Nagurski Award given to the nation’s top defensive player on Monday night. Other finalists were Iowa CB Cooper DeJean, Illinois DT Jer’Zhan Newton, Georgia safety Malaki Starks and NC State LB Payton Wilson.
