The Nashville Predators made their first recall of the 2023-24 season from the Milwaukee Admirals welcoming defenseman Marc Del Gaizo to the roster.
As a result, forward Cody Glass has been placed on injured reserve. According to the Predators, Glass was initially listed with a lower-body injury with an estimated timetable being 7-10 days. Nashville said Glass is expected to miss an additional 1-2 weeks.
Nashville left for Vancouver today as they began their longest road trip of the season. The Predators are set to take on the Canucks, Seattle Kraken, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, & Winnipeg Jets.
The #Preds hit the road for their longest road trip of the season (11 days) today & will travel an estimated 5,809 miles.
Nashville will travel about 4,876 miles from Feb. 17-27 on another trip out west. #Titans will travel 4,834 miles all season for road games.

Head coach Andrew Brunette said after the 3-2 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs he hopes Glass plays while on the trip.
“I think he’s gotta go through protocol here to make sure he’s ready to go,” Brunette said. “The timetable is probably unknown. You gotta push him to see.”
Del Gaizo has yet to make his NHL debut, and at training camp voiced his feelings about not doing so to this point after being drafted in 2019. If he plays on the trip he’ll be the fourth player from Nashville’s 2019 draft class to reach the NHL.
“I wasn’t one of the guys who got an opportunity,” Del Gaizo said at training camp. “So I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder right now. And, you know, just trying to prove that, you know, I can play at this level and do it every day.”
Del Gaizo has played in all five games for the Admirals to this point in the American Hockey League with one assist coming back on Oct. 14 against the Chicago Wolves. Last season the University of Massachusetts-Amherst graduate finished second among Admirals defensemen with 31 points.
