Team Rebrands With New Colors, Music-Centric Theming
The Nashville Sounds unveiled a new primary logo today to kick off a rebranding effort, which will coincide with the team’s move to state-of-the-art First Tennessee Park next season. The new identity pays tribute to Nashville as the world-famous “Music City.” The centerpiece of the identity is a new guitar pick “N” logo stylized from an f-hole on a guitar. Broadway Burnt Orange, Sunburst Tan, Neon Orange, and Cash Black make up the club’s new official colors. The Sounds are the first professional sports team to use Neon Orange in its color scheme.
“With this new logo scheme, we wanted to capture the vibrant nature of the city, of downtown Nashville. There is nothing more striking than burnt orange — you see it everywhere in this town,” said Sounds assistant general manager Brandon Yerger, who headed the Sounds’ rebranding process. “The Nashville Sounds name has always reflected what this city is all about — musical sounds. With our new look, we want to really celebrate ‘this is Music City.’ We have incorporated a number of fun new elements, which you’ll see as we unveil more in the future.” The Sounds’ new look was brought to life by Brandiose, a San Diego, Calif. company, and is the result of an 11-month creative process.
The development process began last November when Brandiose staff met in Nashville with fans, staff, and community members to learn about the stories, history, and personality of Nashville and the Sounds. “Baseball is returning to Sulphur Dell and we’re thrilled to be a part of the next era of Sounds baseball,” said Brandiose’s Casey White. “The new look celebrates the icons and colors synonymous with Music City.”
The Sounds will unveil the entirety of their new logo scheme as well as their new uniforms at an exclusive season ticket holder event in November.
